Bubble Town

Bubble Town You know well how people with the same characteristics just flock together. Well it’s evident in games too, and the residents of Bubble Town, which are called Borbs, shall be with each other until the moment that they pop! When three or more of them sticks with each other, they fly off the screen and get into the launch tube, and nobody knows why they act that way! Although whatever the reason, it is undeniably fun and variety in the game amuses for a long time.

The Borbs are differentiated mainly by their color; there are blue borbs, red ones, green, multicoloured and more, and it’s cute how each of them have their own animations and facial expressions. The cannon at the bottom of the screen can be aimed by moving the mouse left and right, and you shoot it by left clicking. There are two modes in which you can enjoy their company; straight up play or ball play which is the puzzle-based game play. Let’s discuss the straight up mode first.

In straight up mode, the borbs are arranged in your classic ball shooter game set up. They are hanging from the ceiling in a uniform cluster, waiting for you to shoot at them. In Bubble Town, your mouse pointer is hidden and the line indicator for the path of your shot is short, giving a challenge in accuracy. Sometimes the borbs will stick to the one next to your intended target, messing up your game. Sometimes you drag your mouse too much that it gets out of the game screen and your game pauses. Don’t let that stop you from making incredibly awesome shots though, once you get the hang of things, you’ll probably try to shoot at the wall first, letting it bounce to your target instead of aiming for it directly.

In ball play, they aren’t aligned to make your game easy. They will take the form of a hexagon, so now would be a good time to make use of your awesome wall bounce shots. These are called bank shots and award you with bonus points. There will be power ups in the game, like an extended line from your launcher to show the trajectory, an all-powerful fireball that will make every borb it touches to fall off the screen, a toilet plunger to grab a borb from the bunch and throw it in there again, and more! These powerups and the bank shot bonuses are also present in straight up mode.

You don’t have an endless supply of borbs to shoot with: your launcher is connected to a tube, and that tube gets a slight refill every time you clear another line of the cutesy creatures. When you’re nearing the end of a level, and there are only a few of the bubble town residents left on the screen, chances are, you are also having a limited amount of shots. Game over it is when one of them touches the bottom of the screen. Play for the high score and have a good time in Bubble Town.
